- To provide comprehensive engineering services for a 1.1MW behind-meter project in VIC
- To obtain grid connection approval from United Energy
CTP Scope:
- Grid Connection Services
- Detailed solar farm design, HV/LV AC design, construction support
- Supply and commissioning of our e-Cube control and protection cubicle
Timeframe:
Project Challenges:
- Many OHS elements required resolution due to the location of the project site being adjacent to transmission lines and a terminal substation
- Restrictive shape of the site boundary limited available area for the solar field
- Design has to address shading issues due to tall buildings at either side in one area of the solar field
- HV upgrades to an existing critical supply
- Negotiation and establishment of appropriate reverse power settings based on UE requirements and CT accuracy limits
Project Results:
- CTP delivered a turnkey grid connection solution for Rowville Solar Farm
- Solar plant was successfully energised in June 2020
