Electrical & Control Systems Engineer
BEng(Hons)
Brian has over 20 years of engineering experience working in various industries, with the majority in the energy sector. He has worked exclusively in the renewable energy sector since 2006 on a diverse range of technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) as well as a Masters degree in Materials Science focussing on renewable energy generation and storage technologies.
Brian has a wealth of electrical design experience covering utility scale wind projects, conventional solar projects from commercial to utility scale, a concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) pilot plant, hybrid power systems (requiring the integration of wind, solar, battery, and hydrogen systems), and hydrogen energy projects. At CTP, he has been heavily involved in the electrical and control system designs of solar farms and hybrid projects, whilst also playing a key role in many hybrid and off-grid project feasibilities.
Brian has a strong interest in decarbonisation of the global energy system, and the application of new technology in the generation, storage, and utilisation of electricity. His in-depth knowledge of electrical and control systems, along with his sharp analytical skills makes him a valuable asset to CTP and its clients.
