Project Goals:
Provided owner’s engineering and technical due diligence to Bosch throughout the project lifecycle. Scope included:
- Solar PV design review including connection methodology to United Energy’s electricity network
- Technical reporting on HV protection and BMS integration
- Site visits
- Tender specification and response review
- On-site construction supervision (technical)
- Performance review of installed system

Project Challenges:
- Protection scheme over multiple LV solar connections on a dual feed HV connected customer
- Integration with BMS and export control
- Limitation roof space for large installation
Project Results:
- Received grid connection approval from United Energy
- Protection scheme and zero export over a central controller and protection relay on the HV network were tested and commissioned
Stage 1 – 500kWp, completed and sanctioned to connect to UE’s network
Stage 2 – 500kWp, installation commencing in Oct/Nov 2020
