After a lot of planning and hard work from the CTP team, we can proudly say that Clean Technology Partners is a certified and registered B Corporation (B Corp).
So what does that mean exactly? It means that CTP has been certified as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
In other words, it recognises our level and standard of our commitment to being an environmentally and socially conscious business. We are engineers after all, and engineers love standards.
What does this mean for our customers?
The certification will have a flow on effect to our customers projects, as they can show that they work with one of the best and most committed firms in the industry. They can also rest easy in knowing that we’ve thought about more than the financial and engineering implications of their project and design.
Solar in Australia can sometimes fall in a negative light, so our B Corp certification is a positive step, and signals a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in the industry. We’ve always been proud of our upstanding reputation within the industry and hope that our certification reinforces this.
Our founder, Lachlan was really happy with the news that we were successful in becoming a B Corp:

So what are B Corps?
B Corps are a growing group of companies who are reinventing business, by pursuing purpose as well as profit. By being a B Corp you are showing two things:
- The depth of your commitment to sustainability
- A willingness to be accountable to rigorous environmental and social standards.
To become a registered B Corp, our whole business had to meet certification on five key impact areas:
- Governance
- Workers
- Community
- Environment
- Customers.
The certification process is strict and requires a score of over 80. We also had to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices – including energy supply, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.
With this registration complete, CTP is now part of a community of over 3000+ businesses globally from a cross section of industries and sizes who have certified as B Corps.
